Kir

Kir

Since New Year’s Eve is right around the corner, we have been busy planning the dinner menu. This includes our cocktail menu! Since there is an abundant selection of wine in France, we decided to rely on a classic French drink to serve to our family members for our upcoming dinner. A Kir is a three ingredient drink that is sure to be a crowd pleaser, and you can easily get creative with the recipe. You can switch up the white wine for champagne to make it a Kir Royal, or try a different fruit syrup.

Ingredients

  • White wine (we used Bourgogne Aligote)

  • Cassis syrup

  • Frozen raspberries

Recipe

  1. Fill your wine class a quarter of the way with the Cassis syrup. You can add more or less depending on how sweet you would like the drink.

  2. Fill the rest of the glass with white wine.

  3. Give it a stir.

  4. Top it off with some frozen raspberries to act as ice cubes.
