Hello!

We are a mother and daughter blog exploring the benefits of healthy eating, while incorporating French culture and tradition.

A Long Overdue Post

A Long Overdue Post

So remember that time we said that we would blog everyday.....well we have not been keeping up with that lately.  Its our last week here, and things have been very hectic trying to get our house in order before we leave.  So excuse the lack of daily post, because honestly nothing very exciting has been happening here besides cleaning and packing suitcases.

Yesterday we did get out of the house and went to Nîmes.  Nîmes is a little farther south then where our house is and it used to be a Roman city.  There is a Roman colosseum at the center of the city that is a little smaller then the one found in Rome, but better preserved.  Every Summer the city holds concerts in the colosseum, and its spectacular! As you walk through the streets you can spot small statues from the Roman period, or even the gold emblem of the city (pictured below) found throughout the small streets.  It is a very beautiful city, and we always make time to visit Nîmes when we come to France.

We spent the afternoon strolling through the streets, and doing some last minute shopping before we leave for Seattle.

Keep checking on the blog for our final posts of the Summer.  We think we might have a couple more up before we leave next Wednesday!
