Mushroom season is finally here in France, and my mom and I couldn't resist getting some mushrooms from our local market. The season is only the month of September, so we are trying to eat as many mushrooms as we can! The mushrooms grow in the mountainous area of the Ardéche. We decided to purchase these amazing ones called Cèpes. My mom says they have the most unique flavor and are most delicious kind of mushroom!

To prepare them we rinsed them off with water and peeled the stems. We then sliced them and pan cooked them with butter and garlic. Yum right!? The aroma of the mushrooms was utterly divine and covered every inch of our kitchen. They made are mouths water as we impatiently waited for them to be cooked and ready to devour.

We served them with zucchini and quinoa and seasoned it with a spicy salt.
