The Hike Was Worth It

The Hike Was Worth It

We finally have been graced with perfect weather, so we took advantage of it and went on a hike.  One of the perks of living in the countryside, is the numerous hiking trails we have access to.  Anywhere from really easy trails, to expert rock climbing.  We opted for the more simple trail, as none of us are avid hikers.  It was sunny but windy, so it was great weather to be outside without being too hot.  This particular trail that we took interestingly leads to a monastery that is at the top of the hill.  It is still in use, but only has one priest living there.  Its a beautiful old stone house, but unfortunately we weren't able to explore around the grounds as they were blocked off.  Besides that we had a great day being outdoors after having been stuck in the house the past two days.  Also the view was so worth the trip, as you can see in the photos below, we can see for miles!  The trail is about 15 minutes from the town Les Vans, and is called Bois de Paiolive.  So if you are ever in the Ardèche, check the trail out.  In the meantime take a look at some of the photos we took while on the hike.  Hope everyone is enjoying their Summer, and check back tomorrow for another blog post!
