A Rainy Day

A Rainy Day

Yet again rainy weather has hit us.  Instead of staying indoors this time, we decided to throw on our raincoats and have a little outdoor adventure.  We have family friends visiting from the Loire Valley region, so we wanted to show them some older, beautiful villages.  Our trip for today, was about 30 minutes from our home to an old medieval town called Banne.  A once beautiful medieval castle used to overlook the village, but today only the ruins can be visited.  But its very interesting to tour the remains of the castle, giving you an idea of what once stood.  The rest of the town itself has been restored, maintaining the old charm.  The views are incredible, giving a 360 of the surrounding farmland and Ardèche river.  Although it was raining the entire time we were there, it was nice to walk around and just look at all the beautiful homes.  Hope you enjoy the photos below!
