A Quick Trip to Balaruc

A Quick Trip to Balaruc

Two weeks ago we drove down to Balaruc to visit my grandparents. My grandmother goes there every year to go to a health spa. The area is veery well known for their health spas where people go to be treated for inflammatory rheumatism with the use of Balaruc's legendary water and mud. The water and mud are known for their healing properties and has been used since late antique era. The town was filled with unique clothing shops, an utterly amazing bakery and a vibrant tropical park in the center of the town.

The second day of our trip, my mom and I wandered into a cute boutique called Osmose. As we were browsing the shop the owner Näima Bahlij came up to us and asked if I would like to walk in her fashion show the following day! Of course I said yes, and the next day she gave me 3 outfits to wear. All of the clothes were beautiful and made in France.

Later that day we went to a city close by called Sète. Sète reminded me of a mix of Paris and the South of France.  Sète is known as the Venice of Languedoc, it is a port and a seaside resort on the Mediterranean with its own strong cultural identity, traditions, cuisine and dialect.

Are third and final day in Balaruc, my grandparents brought my mom and me to a little neighborhood on the outskirts of  Sète, called Pointe Courte. This little neighborhood was secluded, quiet and filled with charm. This town was right on the water and was filled with cats and colorful houses and fishing boats.
