Melvita: An Organic Brand

One of the only photos we have of the factory itself.  We were not allowed to take photos if there were staff, so we were very limited on when we could actually take a photo. 

Melvita not only sells beauty products.  They had a small assortment of food products, including a very large selection of honey.

Sadly today is our last day in France.  Time has flown by, and we are about down packing.  We had one final excursion to go on before we left, and that was to visit the cosmetic brand, Melvita's, factory.  Melvita is an organic brand that has been based in the Ardèche for the past 30 years.  They offer free tours of their small factory, so customers can see how all these organic products are made.  The tour was fantastic, and was very insightful as well.  We are not about to go into how they make all their wonderful products, because it is a long process, but we will explain the ideals of the brand.  First off they are recognized by two European companies as being a certified organic brand.  Second, their factory in the Ardèche is the only one, maintaing that the brand remains local.  Third, they fully support the protection of bees and the overall environment.  Fourth, their factory was built to be energy efficient, using solar panels and natural light to illuminate the building. Finally, the company believes in using a combination of three essential ingredients to make their products: honey, pure oils, and flower oils.   Now if those facts alone don't make you want to rush off and buy their products, we don't know what will!! As you can tell by all the products we bought, we are a huge fans of the brand.  We have see great results regarding our skin, and it is an added bonus that everything is organic.  Visiting the factory only added to the fact that the company has great ideals about beauty, health, and protection of the environment.  So if you ever see one of their stores in the states we highly recommend a visit!
